Philips claims 18 consumer electronics awards
Electronics firm Philips received high praise for its products at this years Consumer Electronics Show (CES), leading the way with 18 awards for its devices. The Consumer Electronics Association of North America gave the manufacturer 18 CES Innovations Awards at the Las Vegas show this month. Philips products in the EcoTV Design, Ultimate Dream TV Video Displays, and VoIP categories were all singled out for prizes and as a result were shown in a special showcase at the event.
Competitor LG Electronics also received various awards, though its 13 were no match for Panasonic. Its gong-winning products included five flat panel TVs, four mobile handsets, two home electronics products, one audio product and one video product. The firms frameless plasma TV, the PG60, earned the Best of Innovations Award in the video display category.
