AMSTERDAM (Thomson Financial) - Royal Philips Electronics NV said it is to buy US medical software company Emergin. Financial details were not disclosed. Based in Boca Raton, Florida, Emergin designs and sells software that is used to transmit medical alarm signals throughout hospitals. The company is expected to have approximately 18 mln usd in sales this year and employs 100 staff. The deal is expected to close at the end of this year.
